Yendi Water Supply Project, Which Will Cost $30 Million 1

On Wednesday, 29th July, 2020, together with the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Na Mahama Abukari II, I cut the sod for the construction of the Yendi Water Supply Project.

The Yendi Water Supply Project, which will cost $30 million, is aimed at providing the people of the Yendi Municipality and its environs with fifteen thousand (15,000) cubic metres of water daily to meet the water demand from now till the year 2040. Communities earmarked to benefit from the Project, upon completion, include Yendi, Ghani(Ngani), Sambu, Adobo, Sokoli, Nakpachei, Gbungbalaga and Kuga.

These are the words or the president.

Firstly, The change we voted for, the people of Yendi are grateful to you the heavens sent Mr. Naa Abudani Akufo Addo.

However, I do remember when he was a chief in my area “savelugu” you came together with him and cut sod for construction of Dam in ” Botingli” 2017 up till now we haven’t see any contractor on the side, I hope and pray this will not be a funfair program like my area own.
