On 22 February 2019, Waheed Centre for Humanity and Humanitarian Development in Collaboration with Grantangelous Foundation in Partnership with the South Tomgu District education office organized an inter-Circuits Literacy contest for all the 12 circuits (consist of over 40 schools) in the district at the Comboni Centre at Sogakope in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The primary schools level saw Sagakope west circuit taking the first position and Jenior High School Adutor Circuit coming first. The Primary Session contested of vocabulary, oral spell and reading while the Junior High Schools contested of math, English, and integrated science.
With the purpose to increase their level of confidence, public speaking, and to make them abreast with current trends. The program was sponsored by indomie who fed 1300 pupils from the participating schools.
Pupils were given exercise books, paraphernalia and above all a trophy for their gallant efforts.
