Coronavirus Hits Abuja and FG Shuts Down Airports

All Nigerian airports, including Abuja International Airport Nnamdi Azikiwe and Lagos International Airport Murtala Muhammed, will remain closed to all incoming international flights from tomorrow, Monday, except for emergency and critical flights.

This was included in a letter from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) published yesterday to all airline operators.

Meanwhile, 10 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria have been confirmed by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), including three new cases in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and seven new cases in Lagos State. Which takes Nigeria’s overall number of confirmed cases to 22.

In view of the earlier decision to suspend all passenger train services, the Board and the Management Board of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) reviewed the situation and decided to provide passenger train services on a conditional basis.
