Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied reports of a change of leadership. This is contained in a statement issued by the party on Monday, signed by its secretary general John James Akpanudoedehe.
The statement said: “We have been alerted to reports by some media outlets that the APC leadership has been reshuffled. Earlier on Monday, Thisday reported that President Muhammadu Buhari had allegedly ordered the removal of Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The report also said that some APC governors had complained to the president that Buni did not want the party’s convention to go ahead as planned, as there were no plans.
