The leaders of the Gulf States signed a memorandum of understanding during a summit in Saudi Arabia aimed at ending the diplomatic crisis between the two countries and Qatar.

Upon their arrival at the meeting, the Emir of Qatar, Sheik Tamin bin Hamad al-Thani, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, embraced each other as a step towards reconciliation.

The oil-rich small country has dismissed the allegations and rejected a number of demands made by its neighbors, including breaking links with Iran and its Aljazeera TV channel.
