Despite the discrimination and oppression that people with albinism experience in various areas of our lives, we resist the stigma of difference and impairment.
We have experienced and emerged from crises and hardships.
And these difficult times have built us into internally powerful people living extraordinary lives. We have positively identified with our differences and uniqueness, and refuse to view our condition as an impairment.
Despite being frequently shunned by society, our positive attitude and strong will to accomplish our goals has allowed us to recognise our inner attributes, and triumph and overcome adversity.
We have discovered that our life journey with albinism not only poses barriers, but also brings about unique opportunities for achievement.
